Pain management is an important concern for us and for pet
owners. There are a variety of medication options available to manage pain
before and after surgical procedures and other painful medical illnesses. Some
indications that your pet is in pain are: guarding or protecting an area;
vocalization such as crying out, grunting, teeth grinding, and hissing; change
in posture such as hunching, crouching, and being stiff; lack of grooming
resulting in poor looking hair coat; being lethargic or reluctance to move
around; not eating or eating very little; restlessness or pacing; isolation from
others. Please do not hesitate to speak to our doctor regarding any pain
management concerns.
